This month we have two presentations!
Trout in the Classroom and the Ecological Impacts of Dams on the Blue River
Trout In The Classroom:
Kirk Benson of Cherrelyn Elementary in Englewood, CO and Natalie Flowers, Youth Education Coordinator of CTU will be speaking for the first portion of the meeting about the Trout in the Classroom program.
Cutthroat chapter volunteers delivered eggs to multiple schools and helped coordinate these efforts. Check out the progress by shooting the QR code below, or click to see live cameras of the trout:

Ecological Impacts of Dams on the Blue River:
Steve Bailey Scholarship Recipient, Nitsa Platis, CSU graduate student will be speaking about her work on the Ecological Impacts of Dams on the Blue River.
Nitsa (pronunciation: rhymes with pizza) is an MS student in the Fish, Wildlife & Conservation Biology Department at Colorado State University, co-advised by Dr. Brett Johnson & Dr. Yoichiro Kanno. Originally from Leavenworth, Washington, Nitsa grew up surrounded by nature, which helped spark her passion for conservation and led her to pursue a graduate degree in the field.
Today, she will be sharing some of her findings from her current research project which is focused on understanding the ecological impacts of dams on the Lower Blue River in North Central Colorado.

Our monthly meetings are FREE and occur on the third Tuesday of every month.

The meeting doors open about 6:00pm for fish stories, fly tying, catching up with old friends, and meeting new friends. The meetings start at 6:30pm.
