Lair o’ the Bear - Willow Cutting Planting and Streambank Maintenance along Bear Creek

Need CCTU volunteers on Tuesday, August 26th from 9:30 to 2:00 to support Jefferson County Open Space with light access trail maintenance down to Bear Creek and plant willow branches to stabilize the eroding creek bank.

Meet at the parking lot: 22550 CO-74, Idledale, CO  80453

This activity involves using common tools like shovels, installing rock barriers and getting into the creek to install the willows. Bring your waders and work gloves for this activity.  Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As this is an outdoor activity, please dress in appropriate layers for the weather.  Also, bring your own lunch and water.
