• Where: Lair O’ the Bear Park

• When: 8:30AM to 1PM on Monday, July 22nd

• What to bring: Work gloves, water and a lunch

• Register to Volunteer

Description:

Volunteers will remove invasive weeds, seed and rehabilitate disturbed areas, transplant native grasses and shrubs, and place materials and signage to discourage unauthorized use.

Requirements:

Be in good physical condition Be able to use a variety of tools, including shovels, picks and rakes Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian Be prepared for numerous and changing environmental conditions

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR:

• Closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required.

• No open-toed shoes or sandals of any kind will be allowed.

• Work gloves

• Plenty of water (2 quarts minimum)

• Rain gear

• Sunscreen and insect repellent

• A day pack
