NEW CCTU TRIP! EXPLORE THE SECTIONS OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER
SECTION 4 – SALIDA EAST CAMPGROUND
We had eight people go fishing on our last trip to the Arkansas. Some people caught nice fish (like Barry). Others like me simply worked on our tan.

Our next trip will be at the Salida East Campground about 3.5 miles SE of Salida along Highway 50.
NOTE: We are going to leave the Park-n-Ride one-half hour earlier than previous trips (at 7:30am).

Explore the Arkansas Outing
When:
August 20 (Saturday )
7:15am (NOTE: New time)
Park-n-Ride, C470/University Blvd (SW quadrant)
8392 S Burnley Ct, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126
(Harlan will be driving a red Astro van.)
Destination:
Arkansas River - Salida East Campground
(We’ll try to park near the restroom on the west end of the campground.)
Approximately 3.5 miles SE of Salida on Highway 50
Trip Timing:
7:15am - Meet at Park-n-Ride
7:30am (NOTE: New time) - Leave for Arkansas
8:30am - Biology break, McDonald’s, Colo Springs
10:00am - Arrive at river, start fishing!
1:00pm - Optional return to vehicle for group lunch
4:00pm - Conclude fishing
4:30pm - Start return trip
If you decide to drive yourself, meet at the destination (see above) approximately 10-10:30.
