CCTU AUGUST ANNUAL PICNIC (Replaces August Monthly Meeting)
TUESDAY, August 16, 5pm
Reynolds Landing Park – 6745 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton, co 80120
Join us at the Annual Picnic on August 16th at Reynolds Landing on the South Platte River. A limited number of volunteers are needed starting at 4pm, picnic activities officially start at 5:00 PM.
Dinner and drinks will be available from The RagBag Bistro food truck. Check out their menu here: Menu | denver (ragbagbistro.wixsite.com) You can bring and consume your own alcoholic beverages – but we must jump through a couple of hoops compliments of the local liquor laws. Officially, you can donate beverages to CCTU and then buy beverages from CCTU. In practice, bring your beverages and then please make a small (it can be tiny!) donation to CCTU – and consider your beverage donated and bought back. Please also bring folding chairs – there’s probably not enough room at the picnic tables.
Activity – Four Hole Fly Fishing Golf Tournament
Have you ever been torn between hitting the links or fishing on your favorite stretch of river? Well, now you don’t need to decide which to choose. Why not do both? That’s right, you can do both at the CCTU Annual Picnic. We will hold our first-ever four-hole fly fishing golf tournament. The winner (low score) will take home a new Orvis Clearwater 7’6” 3-weight fly rod. The course will be laid out in varying degree of difficulty/distance holes where the participants must land their “fly” within the target zones defined by colorful hoops. So, bring your favorite rod & reel to the picnic and see if you can take home the grand prize
Fishing is close by, right on the South Platte River…so feel free to bring your rod.
The Park closes at sundown…so you are welcome to stay and fish or visit as long as the light permits.resentation
