We were saddened to learn from former CCTU and CTU President Sharon Lance that her husband, Mark Lance, passed away recently.  His Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 11am at Rawhide Ranch in Bailey.

 Mark was an amazing photographer, expert fly fisher, and a close friend to many chapter members.  He and Sharon were the “first couple” of Colorado conservation, as one article put it, and a key part of TU in Colorado and nationally for many years.  After retiring from a 37 year career in oil & gas, he founded River Light Images, a Colorado company focused on fly fishing lifestyle, outdoor adventure, and travel photography.  His photography and writing was published regularly in fly fishing and outdoor journals.  His photography has graced several book covers and been used in marketing campaigns for many outdoor brands including Orvis. Patagonia, Trout Unlimited, and more.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

 Sharon is hosting his Celebration of Life under a tent along the river at private Rawhide Ranch.  There will be a BBQ afterwards with beer and wine.  Sharon hopes that anyone that knew Mark can join her in this celebration.  Rawhide Ranch’s address is 618 Wellington Lake Road, Bailey, CO 80421.
