CCTU 2023 RAFFLE RULES

SUMMARY

Each ticket costs $100, payable to CCTU by cash or check, Zelle (recipient is Cutthroat Chapter of Trout Unlimited, cutthroattu@gmail.com) or Venmo (@cutthroattu, select 1-3 biz days to avoid fees).

45 prizes in total.

A maximum of 200 individual tickets will be sold.  Once 200 tickets are sold, the ability to enter the raffle will close, and no additional tickets will be sold.

The Raffle drawing will occur at the August 15, 2023 Cutthroat Chapter Trout Unlimited (CCTU) annual picnic.

In person sales at the picnic will end at ~6:00 pm MT Tuesday, August 15th, or when all 200 tickets are sold, which ever occurs earlier.

Raffle ticket purchasers NEED NOT be present at the August 15, 2023 annual picnic to win.

Winners not present will be contacted following the August 15, 2023 drawing using the email and phone number you provided on your ticket stub.

Tickets may only be purchased by Colorado residents.

TICKETS & RECEIPTS

2023 Raffle Tickets may only be purchased via a person-to-person transaction (as opposed to on-line sales).

The purchaser will receive a numbered paper ticket. The ticket will have a number from 001 through 200. The number will be printed on both the main ticket portion and the stub portion.

CCTU will retain the stub with the contact information of the purchaser, to enter into the raffle drawing.

The purchaser will retain the main ticket portion with the CCTU Raffle information and must present it to a CCTU Board of Director Member or Raffle Manager to collect any prize won.

RAFFLE LICENSE NUMBER

This raffle is conducted under Colorado Raffle License No. 2023-18265.

This is a Colorado based raffle and therefore tickets will only be sold to Colorado residents, and is not valid in states where out-of-state raffles are prohibited.

RAFFLE DRAWING TIME

The raffle drawing will be held following the CCTU annual picnic on August 15, 2023.  The drawing will start at approximately 6 pm MT on August 15, 2023 at Reynolds Landing (6745 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton, CO 80120).  The results will be posted online by 6 pm MT on August 16, 2023 at https://cutthroatctu.org/2023-cctu-raffle-prize-winners

RAFFLE DRAWING ORDER

The drawing will select for Prize #045 first, and then select in successive countdown order until reaching Prize #001. Exceptions to this will be in the case that a prize donor has won their own donated prize - in this case that donor will receive the next Prize being raffled, and the currently selected prize will go to the next winner drawn.

CONTACTING THE WINNERS

Winners present at the Raffle will receive their prize during the raffle drawing. Winners who were not present will be contacted via phone and email. Winners must provide proof of identity (e.g. Colorado Driver’s License) to verify raffle ticket purchase and match the winning ticket stub.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO CLAIM MY PRIZE?

A winner who has not claimed their prize within 20 days of the drawing date will be notified by U.S. Certified Mail, return receipt requested.  The notice will include information regarding the prize won, a contact person’s email and the time and manner by which the winner may claim the prize.  If a winner fails to claim a prize within 30 days of receiving this notification, CCTU may retain and not award the prize.

RAFFLE PROCEEDS

Raffle proceeds will support the CCTU mission to CONSERVE, PROTECT, and RESTORE Colorado’s cold-water fisheries and their watersheds.  Proceeds may be applied towards conservation and science projects, education projects, community engagement projects, chapter operations, and other initiatives supporting our mission, including but not limited to the CSU Steve Bailey scholarship, Greenback Reintroduction program, Earth Day Bear Creek Project, South Platte River Watch, South Platte River Clean-Up, Gill Trail Restoration, and joint CCTU/Coalition for the Upper South Platte (CUSP) rehabilitation programs. Notwithstanding the aforementioned, our Chapter’s PRIORITY WATERS ARE THE SOUTH PLATTE ALONG THR LOWER GILL TRAIL. As such, the GILL TRAIL RESTORATION PROJECT IS HIGH PRIORITY FOR THE CHAPTER.
